区块链技术在中国共享城市建设中的应用场景——以混合办公场景为例

项目摘要:The practice of sharing cities has spread globally to address a range of issues arising from urbanization, while blockchain is considered as one of the most promising technologies for sharing services. This study focuses on the context of China because of the positive development of both sharing cities and blockchain technology. Although the concept of ‘sharing’ has penetrated various fields of urban planning and relevant practices have been carried out, there is a lack of theoretical follow-up and support. Accordingly, this study aims to explore the application prospect of blockchain technology in the construction of sharing cities in China. In the initial stage, the relationship between sharing cities and blockchain technology was explored based on literature. It finds that blockchain technology has the potential to address the challenges of sharing cities in theory, but it still lacks studies on an implementation perspective. This research adopted an action research strategy, including the processes of plan, act, observe and reflect. Firstly, the key blockchain-based projects with sharing ideas in China were analyzed and classified into three typical models, namely the upgrade of traditional sharing economy platforms, government-led sharing communities, and enterprise-led mutual assistance. Then, a theoretical framework of blockchain-based sharing cities was proposed based on a hybrid workplace project. Finally, semi-structured interviews were conducted with stakeholders. The results show that blockchain technology has the opportunities to solve the pain points of the sharing economy, promote the construction of smart cities, and enhance collaborative governance. However, it faces the challenges of stakeholders’ conservative attitudes towards new technologies, conflicts of interests, and uncertainties in building an urban sharing ecosystem.
